SPINAQUA PhD student, Despoina Varamogianni – Mamatsi, participated in the workshop entitled “Circular Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development”, held in the facilities of HCMR in Crete, Greece between 9 and 11 June 2022, under the framework of MARIKAT research project. Therein, Ms Varamogianni – Mamatsi presented the outcomes of in vitro cleanup experiments on the filtering capacity of marine sponges against typical aquaculture pollutants (i.e., antibiotics & antifouling agents) to European researchers and entrepreneurs working in the field of marine biotechnology.
